Who owns my media?
When I use the media, it is usually socially, which means I typically am on apps such as Instagram, snapchat, Facebook and tik tok. This would mean there is no ‘set’ person who controls the particular media, it is a shared platform that you could say ‘everyone’ owns or controls.
It is where anyone worldwide can share their opinions, post their adventures and comment on situations they find interesting. This could matter to an extent as individuals can post anything, meaning not everything is true and if I am receiving my news from these platforms, it may not be from the best source. It is a good way for rumours to spread.
Social media isn’t an actual news site, it is more filled with individuals across the world sharing their viewpoints on topics. This means I don’t one hundred percent trust my side of the media as I need to be careful on what are rumours on social media and what isn’t. I would be better off watching or reading legitimate ‘news’ from a legitimate source.
My ‘news’ are moulded by everyone’s interesting thoughts and beliefs on literally any topic you can think of.
