This week’s topic, ‘Networked Participation and Collective Intelligence’ I found very interesting and fun to learn about.

The concept is basically around the idea that through interaction and competition with individuals against other individuals, we collectively share information and gain information and therefore having a higher likelihood of finding answers that otherwise wouldn’t have been found if an individual had done the researching on their own.

The concept of collective intelligence can furthermore be connected through the social media platform where individuals can follow and recognise other’s trends, patterns and opinions. For example, Twitter is the perfect platform for people across the world to share their current thoughts to literally anyone, where individuals can then either observe, interact or comment on this person’s thoughts or feelings.

Collective intelligence is an important factor of life that every individual can positively benefit from to learn a new way of life through the inspiration of others.
